Well, I thought our plumbing troubles were over, but such is not the case. The plumber was actually back at the house again. This time he suggested a camera in the pipe. That showed quite a bit of tree root growth. So much so, that the water was backing up in the pipe as he shot the video.
So, hopefully, the rain and water usage in the house this weekend will not cause any more backups as we wait for the real fix. A new, outdoor access pipe will be installed and this will allow a larger cutting tool to fit into the pipe to really get a good hack at the roots.
At any rate, the laundry room side of the basement was de-cluttered (yes!!) and the floor bleached clean
again.
Here's hoping we'll soon be in the clear.
